The election is over, the inauguration is over and many have mixed feelings about it all. Some are pleased their candidate won, some are sad for the President who had to leave. For those of us who are believers, we sometimes question events that do not turn out the way we want them to. Yet God is still in His heaven and nothing escapes His notice. His will is the ultimate answer and He moves in His own time and space. For me, I’m continuing to put on the whole armor of God each morning and put my questions aside. Everything happens for a reason and I for one will seek to see what He wants me to learn from all we’ve gone through these past months. I’ve been following Dutch Sheet’s Give Him 15 each morning and Dutch is always an encourager. In the meantime, I’m writing songs, starting another book and finding ways to keep myself busy. I walk my little dog along the path by the bay and watch her inquisitive little nose seek out interesting smells. Sometimes we walk on the beach and while she will explore the seaweed, she will not go near the water. It’s nice to be out in the fresh air and look out at the hundreds of boats. Makes me wonder how often they are used. Some person said, “The best days of being a boat owner are when you buy the boat, and when you sell it.” We walk to the end of the path that ends at the “Fairy Tree.” People put tiny houses, shells, figures and anything else that seems appropriate there. It’s fun to see what whimsical item has been added. There is a swing by the tree and believe it or not, yours truly actually used it. Felt like a kid.
