Dear Readers,

I didn’t write about a mouse this year, but that turned into a darling children’s book thanks to a great publisher and illustrator! This year, since I can’t send you all Christmas cards, I’d like to share my Christmas poem for 2023. May the Lord bless you and may the New Year hold all you hope for.

Warmly, Diana

Redeemed

HE WALKED THE HALLOWED HALLS OF HEAVEN
GLORY STREAMING IN HIS PATH,
YET SET ASIDE HIS ROBE OF GLORY
AS MAN INCURRED THE FATHER’S WRATH.
THE HOPE OF HEAVEN BENT HIS WILL
TO CARRY OUT THE FATHER’S PLAN
TO DRAW HIS ERRING CHILDREN BACK
AND SO REDEEM HIS FALLEN MAN.
HIS THRONE BECAME A MANGER LOW
AS GOATS AND DONKEY’S FED NEARBY,
WHILE FAR ABOVE A GLORIOUS STAR
BORE WITNESS TO A BABY’S CRY.
A PRECIOUS GIFT TO ALL MANKIND
AS ANGEL CHOIRS SANG ABOVE,
AND SHEPHERDS BOWED IN HUMBLE PRAISE,
THE FIRST TO KNOW THE FATHER’S LOVE.
